Special Projects
Guatemala Since our mission trip to Women of Hope Guatemala (WOH), in 2023, directors Tina & Giovanni Osuna continue to make a difference for artisans and their families who face severe economic hardships. The organization has recently had to move to a smaller facility to manage costs. Let's keep them in our prayers and giving plans.
Ecuador Your financial gifts help provide medical supplies, translation services, Christian literature and other tools needed to share the gospel with the indigenous people living in the Andes mountains. Your giving further undergirds the tireless work of missionary Dr. Manuel Avilas who travels from village to village bringing both medical aid and spiritual healing to those in the remotest and most in need communities. Special funding is also needed for missionary-pastors Salomon and Zoila as they leave their home, families and workplaces to establish a new church-plant in the village of Alausi, Ecuador.
Pray for Honduras Light Global Missions partnered with College Park Christian Church in January 2025 in a mission trip to Tegucigalpa, Honduras and had the joy of serving with founders Valerie and Felipe Colby at the missions' medical facility, ministry training center, and multi-site children and youth outreach called "The Milk Project". The project is rapidly expanding and in need of multiple sponsors for the 25 kids at their newest site. "His Eyes" not only provides the nation's only full-scale vision clinic, but offers an opportunity for patients and their families to receive the gospel and learn that they are precious and loved in the eyes of the savior.
Dominican Republic Pastors Leo & Cheryl founded "A heart for the Nations" with the goal of bringing the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ to families throughout the Dominican Republic. Their work there has flourished with a thriving church, a school serving pre-kindergarten through the 9th grade and several community outreaches to minister to the community at large. Help change a child's life by sponsoring a student at the "Place of Hope School" ( Colegio: Un Lugar de Esperanza).
United States of America "Prayer Train Across America" is underway and thanks be to God, many are committing to humble prayer and godliness. Your financial gifts help Light Global Missions spread the urgent call to turn back to God and help offset mission trip expenses related to the "Prayer Train Across America" travel event to be held this coming May.
PRAY Your on-going prayers are a much-needed and appreciated source of strength and encouragement.
Pray for Guatemala Please pray that 'Women of Hope Guatemala' experiences a smooth transition to their new work facility. Let's keep the entire nation in prayer as it has experienced many natural disasters including earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and flooding. Pray for Missionary Directors Tina and Giovanni Osuna, that they might continue their mission in strong hope and good health. Pray for the WOH artisans and their families to be a bright light to their communities as they themselves draw closer to Christ.
Pray for Ecuador The nation of Ecuador has been experiencing an increase in violence and political tension. Please pray for peace and that the work of the ministry will go unhindered. Praise God for an opportunity for Spark International Missions, Faith Lutheran and Light Global Missions to travel this summer to Ecuador to provide in-person support for local missionaries, Dr. Manuel, Salomon and Zoila. Pray for safe travel for the team and for the provision of resources for the medical mission and new church-plant. Pray that God will prepare hearts to receive the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ.
Pray for the Dominican Republic Pray for Pastors Leonardo & Cherilyn Perez, the missionary founders of "A Heart for the Nations Missions. They are doing a tremendous work in Baitoa and are leading many to Christ. Pray for their strength, encouragement, provision and resources. Please also pray for the students and staff of Colegio: Un Lugar de Esperanza. They have experienced a big increase in enrollment at their K-9th school. Unfortunately, many of the families cannot afford full tuition and need help with school fees, uniforms and books. This has caused a financial shortfall that puts the school at risk. Pray for sponsors for the children and for much needed resources and for the teachers and staff that work there, providing a premium education in spite of their meager wages.
Pray for the United States of America America is very much in need of prayer and revival! I Chronicles 7:14 tells us that when we humble ourselves, pray, seek God's face, and turn from our wicked ways, that God will hear us, forgive us and heal our land. Please pray that "Prayer Train Across America" will play a role in seeing people throughout the country both individually and collectively turn to God in humble prayer and repentance.
Pray for Honduras Please join us in lifting up the amazing work of "His Eyes Honduras". Let's intercede on behalf of the ministry's founders, Valerie and Felipe Colby as they oversee the missions full scale clinic and multi-site children's outreach programs, known as the Milk Project. Pray that they receive sponsors for the 25 kids at their newest site and that the pastors an ministry leaders remain steadfast and encouraged as they make disciples who will continue to spread the gospel message.
