Meet Pat Turner
Light Global Missions - Missionary/Founder
Evangelist Pat Turner is a graduate of Illinois State University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and a Masters in Politics and Government. The Chicago native served in AmeriCorps with a focus on not-for-profit administration. She has lived in Bloomington-Normal for 35 years and is the proud mother of one adult son and a precious granddaughter.
Pat’s heart for God and service to his people has been felt and demonstrated through her work not only in Central Illinois, but in places such as Zambia, South Africa, Mexico, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic. Pat is fluent in Spanish and Sign Language and has used her gift for language acquisition to communicate to others in their heart language.
Evangelist Turner is particularly passionate about the word of God. Her love for teaching, serving and building up the body of Christ was demonstrated first in her home Church, Center for Hope International Ministries. Under the leadership of Bishop Larry Taylor & First Lady Desetra Taylor, Pat served as Outreach Pastor, Adult Sunday School Teacher, Board Member and Auxiliary Leader. Evangelist Turner is often called upon to teach and train others in the word of God and has served as Community Clergy in various capacities.
Pat acknowledges that her upbringing, education, civic engagement experience and ministry work allows her the joy of working with people from all walks of life. She seeks to enrich everyone she meets and looks for ways to encourage others to live to their highest capacity. Her relationship with God is her number one motivation for all she does. “Because God first loved me and gave his life for me, I am able to love myself and to give unselfishly to others”. Pat further acknowledges that it is God who has given her every gift and talent she has. She believes she has been equipped with a love and passion for all people and has surrendered her life to serving God by showing his great love and purpose for mankind.
