What is Light Global Missions Doing Around the World?
Guatemala
Light Global Missions (LGM) believes that every human is valuable and was created by God for a great purpose. Unfortunately, many around the world suffer physically, economically and emotionally, simply due to their gender. LGM is pleased to partner with Women of Hope (WoH) Guatemala, a “Business for Transformation” that is helping to bring spiritual and economic well-being to women facing hardship and crisis. By providing strategic planning, language translation and by sharing the love of Christ, LGM is making a difference in the lives of more than 25 skilled artisans working with WoH. What’s more, as their lives are enriched, so are their families and communities. Partners in the U.S. are encouraged to support this work through prayers and monthly giving.
Ecuador
Light Global Missions is excited to join with Spark International Missions and Dr. Manuel Avilas, an amazing missionary, preacher and surgeon in bringing medical relief and spiritual wellness to communities across Ecuador. In addition to the physical healing, many receive receive tools and spiritual guidance for the healing and strengthening of their marriages and families. Children are also introduced to the Good News of Jesus Christ through week-long Vacation Bible Schools and sports camps. LGM has played a primary role in these efforts by providing language facilitation and women’s Bible training. It is a special joy to see the indigenous communities learn of God’s great love for them and receive Bibles and Christian resources in their own languages. In 2025, LGM partners with Faith Lutheran Church of Bloomington IL. and Pastor Salomon in Ecuador on a new church plant in the village of Alausia, Ecuador. Please keep these efforts in your prayers.
Dominican Republic
Light Global Missions is helping to improve the economic well-being for families in Baitoa D.R. while bringing the Good News of the gospel in word and deed. We have particularly focused attention on the staff and students of Colegio: Un Lugar de Esperanza. (A Place of Hope School). This premier Christian institution offers a quality education to children pre-school through 9th grade regardless of the family’s ability to pay.
English education is a huge part of the learning experience at the school graduates who are bilingual often receive better wages, leading to more financial stability for themselves and their families. Light Global Missions offers free English classes to the teaching staff, students and Baitoa community members. LGM partners with donors in the U.S. to provide needed equipment, supplies and other necessary supports for the school.
The United States of America
While Light Global Missions will continue to spread God's word around the world, it also realizes the growing need for the gospel right here at home. In 2023, we launched “Prayer Train Across America” (PTAA). The effort encourages believers across the United States to follow God’s prescription for spiritual healing as given in 2 Chronicles 7:14. As we and others humble ourselves, pray, seek God’s face and repent, we know that God will do as he promised and hear our prayers, forgive our sins and heal our land. On May 1, 2025, in conjunction with the National Day of Prayer, we will join others in praying for America. Immediately afterward, we will board an actual train that travels from the east coast to the west as we pray across this land. Faith communities north and south of the route are invited to join us by praying in their respective locations as the train passes. We intend to literally cover the entire nation in humble and sincere prayer. For more information, or to participate, please contact us.
